Dr. Dean Whiting, DMD, MSD

Meet Dr. Whiting

Dr. Whiting earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where he also completed a 27-month post-graduate residency in endodontics and a Master of Science. His graduate research on immune cell involvement in dental pulp regeneration was published in the Journal of Endodontics in 2018. Before dental school, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and spent several years as an engineer at Boeing Aircraft Company — before returning to follow his passion for quickly alleviating pain.

Dr. Whiting holds board certification from the American Board of Endodontics, an achievement reached by fewer than 30% of endodontists and the highest credential in the specialty. He is a member of the American Board of Endodontics College of Diplomates — a distinction that allows him to mentor other endodontists pursuing board certification. He maintains active membership in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association, and the Arizona Endodontic Association.
